Navient Senior UX Researcher - Remote, US in Richmond, Virginia

The Senior UX Researcher position will report to the Principal UX Research.

As the Senior UX Researcher, you will:

  • Collaborate with qualitative researchers, UX designers, product managers, marketing stakeholders, and executives to continually enhance users’ experiences by identifying opportunities and pain points.

  • This Senior UX Research role will be expected to plan, field, analyze, and report research findings, with a particular focus on quantitative methodologies.

  • You’ll delve into questions such as user preferences, satisfaction with Earnest products, strategies for delivering superior experiences, identify market opportunities, and the underlying motivations behind these insights.

  • Your tasks may encompass a range of projects, including traditional usability testing, conjoint analysis surveys to gauge product preferences, and longitudinal thought leadership surveys and reports.

Your Impact:

  • In this role you will address critical questions and identify opportunities for further exploration and product development. As part of Earnest’s collaborative environment, you’ll work with a diverse range of departments, implement strategic initiatives, and disseminate findings across the organization.

  • As a Senior UX Researcher, you’ll evolve into a subject matter expert on our user base and serve as a trusted resource for inquiries.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a research or related field (e.g. psychology, computer science, human-computer interaction, cognitive science)

  • 5+ years of professional development experience

  • Proficiency in designing experimental research methodologies for analyzing human behavioral data

  • Ability to conduct intermediate-level statistical analyses to interpret human behavioral data

  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with a knack for conveying complex research insights to stakeholders across the organization

Even Better:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree with a quantitative research focus in relevant disciplines (e.g. psychology, computer science, human-computer interaction, cognitive science)

  • Broad knowledge of statistical analysis methods including descriptive statistics, linear regression, multivariable analysis, and statistical inference

A little about our pay philosophy: We take pride in compensating our employees fairly and equitably. We are showcasing a range of your potential base salary, determined primarily based on a candidate’s location. Earnest takes a market-based approach, categorizing U.S. locations into one of five zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will also be determined based on job-related qualifications, internal compensation, and budget. This range may be modified in the future.
