The Education Specialist I will be responsible for the delivery of classroom education for the operational areas supported. They will conduct new hire, refresher, cross education for all full time and part-time employees as well as temporary staff. The Education Specialist Iwill assess trainees' knowledge, skills and abilities to ensure understanding and conformance to company policies and procedures, industry regulations (state and federal), and client requirements. They must perform supervisory duties for the new hire staff. The Education Specialist Imust provide supervisory and management staff with clear, concise, and timely updates on trainees' performance and document all progress. They must identify trainees' learning needs and apply adult learning principles to maximize trainees' performance.

Technical Education

  • Conduct technical education sessions according to the lesson plan using effective education techniques

  • Provide one-on-one assistance to learners who are having difficulty grasping materials and concepts

  • Ensure all necessary technical resources and equipment are working and set up as needed for all education classes

  • Monitor, evaluate, and document trainees' progress and performance

  • Identify and implement potential improvement to education strategies and methods

  • Ensure system and phone logins are secured for new hire trainees

  • Monitor and record the performance of new hire and tenured trainees

  • Analyze and resolve performance issues in the education room

  • Administer progressive discipline for attendance, performance, or conduct issues during the education period

  • Monitor and approve trainees' time cards according to department time recording policies and procedures

  • Ability to travel frequently as needed. (Up to 25%)

  • Ability to learn and facilitate for multiple lines of business and audience levels.

Project Management

  • Assist in the design, development and maintenance of all education and reference materials

  • Assist in delivering effective and timely communication to all impacted operational staff of all changes to

policies, procedures and systems

  • As required by operation support, assist in the design and maintenance of training materials

Subject Matter Expert

  • Attends, participates and presents in team development, train the trainer and other ad hoc training as needed or to develop and further knowledge of businesses we support.

  • Establish an understanding of operations business areas we support to be flexible in training multiple business areas and aiding in document creation and maintenance.

  • Complete monthly professional development opportunities such as classroom observation, floor dialing time, Leadership Development sessions and eLearning or video sessions available.

  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of all technical training programs as you are teaching them and report on areas that need to be evaluated or updated.

  • Maintain knowledge of systems and technologies related to the businesses we support

  • Maintain knowledge of business and other corporate priorities and initiatives


Bachelor's Degree in Education, Training, Communications, Human Resources, etc.

Additional equivalent experience above the required mimimum may substitute for level of education required.


  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience within a call center, back office processing or collections environment

  • Must demonstrate the ability to convey highly technical materials and concepts at a level commensurate within the industry

  • Exhibit work habits and attitudes conducive to a team environment

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook)

  • Demonstrated skills in project planning, project management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

  • Must demonstrate the ability to convey highly technical materials and concepts at a level commensurate within the industry

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles

  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per week

  • Must be able to work in multiple locations as needed

  • Ability to travel domestically and off shore (Up to 25%)

  • Industry Certifications

  • Experience in designing online and web-based curriculum

  • Knowledge of internal platforms and systems

  • Experience in Healthcare Revenue Management


  • Excellent group facilitations skills

  • Ability to learn industry regulations and company policies and procedures
